Dog Fascial Release

Participants of this fantastic workshop will learn the basics of the myofascial system and lymphatic systems of their furbabies. They will also know what “petting with purpose” is and how they can apply these techniques to their furbaby so they can enjoy a more healthy, happy, and pain-free life as they get older.

We will teach canine parents how to use various tools to release their canine companion’s fascia. Anatomists recently determined fascia to be the largest organ system of the body. Understanding how to condition the fascia has demonstrated improvements in mobility and reduced spine and joint issues! Anthony Chrisco, Founding Member of the Fascia Research Society, leads this workshop.Date: April 2, 10:00 am – 11:00 am

After attending Petting with Purpose session about three months ago I have been applying the techniques taught by Anthony to my Rothweiler/Shepard mix furbabywith positive results. My furbaby is a little over 14 years old was diagnosed with cancer of the liver (hepatocellular carcinoma) back in June of 2019 and given three months and to maybe a year to live. She is being treated with traditional Chinese herb and pain meds and acupuncture but still had diarrhea and very poor appetite. But as mentioned above exercising the Petting with Purpose methods has at least stopped the diarrhea and put her in better spirits. I was told by the Veterinarian that this type of cancer has no known cure at this time the best thing to do is to keep her comfortable and pain controlled until the end. The last blood test, about two weeks ago, showed that the kidney is failing but with the prescribed meds and acupuncture treatments with the added Petting with Purpose methods are in fact keeping her comfortable and pain controlled. It’s sad that I did not know of the fascianation method for dogs earlier otherwise it could have prevented the cancer from happening but it is what it is. Aloha, R.N.
